Mobile Comparison - Nokia versus Samsung

We all know that Nokia and Samsung are the two most renowned brands of mobile phones in the Indian as well as international market. Nokia is a Finnish company while Samsung is a Korean electronics giant. Both of the brands have their own technology and style in creating the mobile phones. The recent survey on mobiles figured out that Samsung has beaten Nokia in the mobile market. One of the finest series of Nokia is the Nokia X - Series while on the other hand the finest model of Samsung is the Samsung Y - Series. Let us now compare between this two series of model.

Nokia X-series is a family of smart phones whose operating system is Symbian while Samsung Y-series is an Android series. Samsung generally termed this series as the Galaxy series and Galaxy Y is one of the models which come with eye- catchy features like Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. It has an 832 MHz processor, virtual keyboard for typing and texting and Google Voice Search which is pre-installed. It also comes with a 2 MP camera. The phone has a very good touch interface and comes with a capacitive touch-screen. It also has many connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro- USB. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack. It supports up to 32 GB of storage via Micro-SD Cards. So these are all the specifications of Samsung Y-series.

Now let us come back to Nokia X-series. Its operating system is Symbian S40. The different models of X-series are X2, X3, X6 etc. All these mobile phones phones have normal keypads other than X6. X6 is the costliest. So if we compare Samsung with Nokia, Samsung will get 9 out of 10, while Nokia will get 7 out of 10. Though both of them are pioneers to a series of smart-phones, still Android is the latest and the most user friendly OS for mobile phones. In 2011 Nokia had gone in for a joint venture with Microsoft for a new OS.

It is clear and evident from our analysis that Nokia X-models are simply no comparison for Samsung Y-models that are packed up with a better OS and handier features. Due to this reason, Samsung Mobile has successfully defeated Nokia in the race for supremacy in the mobile market. But, before we conclude, we must acknowledge Nokia as ‘Quality' service providers for mobile phones.
